Potato Roll Samosas

A perfect must-try snack loved by kids!

All purpose flour/ maida- 1 cup
Potatoes – 3, boiled & grated
Black sesame seeds- 1 tsp
Dry red chili flakes- ½ tsp
Ginger-garlic paste- ½ tsp
Red chili powder- 1 tsp
Cumin powder- ½ tsp
Corn flour- 2 tbsp
Coriander leaves- A small bunch, finely chopped
Oil- As needed
Salt- To taste
Water- As needed

Method: In a large bowl, add the flour, 1 tsp of oil, black sesame seeds, & salt. Mix well to form crumbs. Gradually add water and knead it into smooth dough. Keep it aside. In another bowl, add the grated potatoes, chili flakes, ginger-garlic paste, cumin powder, salt, corn flour, & coriander leaves. Mix well until well combined. Grease your hands with little oil and take lemon sized portions of the potato mixture and roll into small cylinders. Keep this aside. In a small bowl, mix together 2 tbs of maida & 2 tbsp of water into a slurry. Take a small portion of the dough & roll it into a thin disc. Cut it lengthwise into 1” width strips. Place the potato cylinders on the strips and roll them. Seal the edge of the rolls with the slurry mixture. Heat oil in a pan. Deep fry the rolls until golden brown. Drain them onto a paper towel. Serve hot with tomato ketchup and enjoy.
