Delicious apple pudding simmered in loads of ghee & aromatic hints of vanilla & cinnamon!
Milk- 1/2 cup
Mawa/koya- 1/4 cup
Cashews – 10-12
Sugar – 1/2 cup
Vanilla extract – 1/2 tsp
Cinnamon powder – 1/4 tsp
Clarified butter/ghee- As needed
Method: Wash and peel the skin off the apples. Grate the apples. In a pan, add ghee and roast the cashews. Drain the cashews and keep aside. In the same pan, add more ghee if needed. Add the grated apples & milk and mix well. Fry on low flame until the mixture thickens. Add sugar, mawa, vanilla extract, cinnamon powder, and 1 tsp ghee and mix well until the sugar dissolves & the halwa thickens. Cook until the halwa separates from the pan. Add the fried cashews & mix well. Serve warm and enjoy!
