Kerala Style Spicy Crawfish/Crayfish Curry

A fabulous spicy seafood concoction of crayfish & Indian spices simmered in coconut milk!

Crawfish – 1 kg, boiled 
Onion -1, finely chopped
Green chilies- 2, finely chopped
Ginger- 1″ piece
Garlic- 5 pods
Tomatoes- 2, finely chopped
Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
Red chili powder – 1 tsp
Fish masala powder- 2 tsp
Coconut milk- 1/2 cup
Mustard seeds- 1/4 tsp
Salt – To taste
Oil- As needed

Method: Heat oil in a pan. Splutter mustard seeds. Add finely chopped onions and sauté until translucent. Add green chilies & crushed ginger-garlic paste. Fry until the raw smell goes away. Add the chopped tomatoes. Add turmeric powder, fish masala powder, red chili powder, & salt. Add the boiled crawfish and mix well. Cover and cook in medium flame for 10 mins. Finally, add 1/2 cup of coconut milk and simmer for another 5 mins. Remove from flame and enjoy with steamed rice!
