Spice up the usual savory snack time with this quick & tasty Indian fritters!
Ingredients: Maggi noodles- 1 packet
Onion-1, finely chopped
Cabbage- 1/4 cup, finely grated
Carrot-1, finely grated
Cilantro- A small bunch, finely chopped
Green chilies- 2, finely chopped
Ginger-garlic paste- 1 tsp
Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
Maggi masala powder- 1 packet
Rice flour- 2 tbsp
Besan flour- 5 tbsp
All purpose flour/maida- 3-4 tbsp
Salt- To taste
Oil- As needed
Method: Boil 2 cups of water in a large saucepan. Add the maggi & cook until done. Once cooked, drain the noodles and keep aside. In a bowl, add the onion, vegetables, ginger-garlic paste, spice powders, rice flour, cooked noodles, & salt. Knead into a dough without adding water. The water from squeezing the veggies is enough to knead the dough. Make small lemon size balls with the dough. Keep this aside. In a bowl, add maida and water and mix it to form thick slurry without any lumps. Heat oil in a pan. Dip each maggi balls in the prepared slurry and gently drop it into the hot oil. Do not overcrowd them. Once them turn golden in color, drain them onto a paper towel. Serve hot with a cup of tea and enjoy!
