Brighten your day on a sweet note with a popular snack from the Malabar region!
Ripe plantains/banana-2, sliced
Rava/semolina – 2-3 tbsp
Grated coconut-1/4 cup
Cardamom powder-1/4 tsp
Ghee/clarified butter- As needed
Sugar- As needed
Method: Heat ghee in a pan. Add the sliced bananas and fry until they turn golden. Remove from the pan and keep aside. In the same pan, roast the rava until the raw smell goes away. Transfer it to a plate. Add more ghee to the same pan and fry the grated coconut until they turn golden brown in color. To this, add the fried bananas, cardamom powder, sugar, cashews, roasted rava, and mix well. Serve warm as a snack with tea or coffee and enjoy!
