An exciting fusion of the Italian pasta with a blend of the aromatic Indian spices! Savor the true essence of a delightful one-pot meal with a twist that is super yummy and tempting!
Pasta – 1 cup ( I used the Riscossa Seme Mellone pasta that is like small rice grains)
Boneless chicken- 200 g, cut into small pieces
Onion-1, finely chopped
Green chilies-2, finely chopped
Ginger-garlic paste- 1 tsp
Tomato-1, finely chopped
Pasta sauce- 1/2 cup
Red chili powder- 2 tsp
Garam masala-1 tsp
Tandoori masala powder- 1 tsp
Black pepper powder-1/2 tsp
Biryani masala powder- 1 tsp
Italian Mixed Herbs or Oregano- 1/2 tsp
Cilantro leaves- A small bunch, finely chopped
Lemon juice- 1 tsp
Olive oil- As needed
Salt – To taste
Water- As needed
Method: Clean, wash, & drain the chicken pieces. Marinate the chicken with turmeric powder, chili powder, tandoori masala powder, and salt. Leave it aside for 15-20 mins. Heat oil in a large pan. Shallow fry the chicken until it is cooked and brown. Transfer the chicken to a plate and keep aside.
Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and keep aside. Heat the pan with oil. Add the chopped onions and sauté until they are soft & tender. Add the ginger-garlic paste & fry for 1 min. Add the chopped tomato and cook until they are soft and mushy. Add the spice powders and saute until the oil separates. Add the fried chicken along with the tomato sauce and mix well. Cook until the chicken pieces become tender. Add in the cooked pasta, Italian herbs, chopped coriander, & mix well. Finally, sprinkle the lemon juice. Remove from flame. Serve immediately and enjoy!
