Strawberries and Cream Poke Cake

Begin the Holiday season with this perfectly sweet & delicious dessert filled with strawberry sauce & topped with fresh strawberries!


Strawberry flavored cake mix/white cake mix – 1 box
Eggs – 3
Strawberry jam -1/2 cup
Cream cheese- 5 tbsp
Milk – 2 tbsp
Fresh strawberries- 6-8, thinly sliced
Water- 1 cup
Oil- 1/2 cup
Whipped cream- As needed
Sugar – As needed
M&Ms- As needed


Method: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly spray a cake pan with non-stick baking spray. In a large bowl, combine together the cake mix, eggs, water, & oil according to the package instructions. Pour the prepared batter into the pan and bake for 30-35 minutes or until when a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Remove from the oven and transfer to a cooling rack. Warm the strawberry jam in the microwave for 30 seconds and stir. While the cake is still hot, use a fork or wooden chopstick to poke holes in the cake about an inch apart. Pour the jam into the holes of the cake. Leave the cake aside to cool. Meanwhile, using a mixer, mix together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, milk, & whipped cream to a smooth consistency. Evenly spread this cream over the cooled cake. Top the cake with sliced strawberries & M&Ms. Refrigerate for 30 mins to cool. Remove from refrigerator, slice, and serve. Enjoy!
