Aladdin’s Favorite Chocolate Paniyaram

These delicious & addictive goodies that taste divine are a favorite of Aladdin! 


All purpose flour/maida – 1-1/2 cups
Cocoa powder – 4 tbsp
Egg – 1
Boiled milk – 1 cup
Unsalted butter – 1/4 cup, melted
Vanilla essence extract – 1/4 tsp
Powdered sugar – 5 tbsp
Salt – A small pinch
Baking powder – 2 tsp
Chocolate chips – As needed
Oil- As needed

Method:  In a large bowl, whisk the egg until creamy. To this, add the milk, melted butter, & vanilla essence.  Mix until combined well. To this add the dry ingredients and mix together until well combined to form a thick batter. Heat the paniyaram pan or appachatti. Add a few drops of oil into the moulds. Once the pan is heated, reduce the flame to medium. Gently spoon the prepared chocolate batter into the moulds until they are 3/4th full. Once the rims of the unniyappams turn brownish, carefully flip to the other side and cook until brown. Drain the appams to a paper towel. Sprinkle some powdered sugar & chocolate chips over the paniyarams and serve with hot chocolate or tea!
