Chettinad Muttai Paniyaram / Chettinad Style Egg Dumplings

Try these egg bites that are delicious and protein rich perfect for breakfast on-the-go!


Eggs – 2
Chili powder – 1/4 tsp
Onions – 1, finely chopped
Green chilies– 2, finely chopped
Coriander leaves – A small bunch, finely chopped
Salt – To taste
Oil- As needed

Method: Heat oil in a pan. Add the chopped onions and green chilies and saute until translucent. Remove from flame and keep aside. In a small bowl, add the eggs, fried onions, coriander leaves, and salt and mix well. Heat up a kuzhi paniyaram pan and add 2 drops of oil to each cup. Pour a large spoonful of the egg batter into the mould. Cover with a lid and cook on a low flame till one side is done. Gently flip it over using a spoon and cook the other side too until golden. Drain on a kitchen towel. Serve with tomato sauce.
