Creamy, savory, and subtly sweet pasta recipe that’s versatile and tasty!
Pasta – 2 cups
Minced beef-1/2 kg
Onion – 1, finely chopped
Garlic cloves – 4
Tomato – 1, cut into small cubes
Red bell pepper – 1 big, cut into small cubes
Mixed Italian herbs – 1 tsp (oregano, parsley, basil)
Black pepper – 2 tsp
Red chili flakes – 1/2 tsp
Parmesan cheese – 1 tbsp
Mozzarella cheese, grated- 1 tsp
Walnuts – 8, roughly chopped
Olive oil – As needed
Salt – To taste
Water- As needed
Method: Cook the pasta as per package directions. Drain and keep aside. Heat olive oil in a pan. Roast the garlic cloves and tomatoes until soft. Transfer this into a grinder. Brush the bell pepper cubes with little olive oil and roast it in the same pan. Transfer it to the grinder along with the chopped walnuts, Italian herbs, 1 tsp of Parmesan cheese, 1 tsp of olive oil, 1 tsp of black pepper, and salt into a thick coarse paste. Keep this aside.
Heat oil in a pan and saute the chopped onions until translucent. Add the minced beef and cook until brown. Add the red pepper sauce along with 1/4 cup of water. Add the red chili flakes, pepper powder, and salt. Boil it until the sauce thickens. Add the cooked pasta and mix well until it incorporates with the sauce. Garnish with Mozzarella cheese and serve hot.
